We will meet you at the airport or a previously agreed upon place in Yopal. Departure in a 4×4 truck to the Nature Reserve for 2 hours. 

Arrival at the Reserve is scheduled around 9:30, where you will immediately begin wildlife watching and contemplation of the plains landscape, traveling through extensive plains and observing many birds such as herons and Burrowing owl, as well as herds of capybaras, deer and babillas. You will arrive at the accommodation around 11:00, where you will be greeted with a cold drink. 

Between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m., you will go deep into the Reserve in the safari vehicle, to search for the most emblematic animals (anteaters, felines, anacondas, among others) and birds like Brazilian Teal, Versicolored Emerald, Double-striped Thick-knee, Pied Plover, Sharp-tailed Ibis. They will visit different points of the more than 9 thousand hectares that make up the Encanto de Guanapalo reserve and will be able to make stops to walk and explore the forested areas and wetlands of our safari in the plains of Colombia.

At the end of the afternoon, they will have a toast where they will contemplate the sunset in the middle of a unique atmosphere. They will return to the accommodation around 7:00 p.m. to have dinner and share a space with the ranch workers. 

NIght Hato Altamira

In the morning we will to explore the ecosystems of the Mataepalma ranch in the natural savannahs we recorded species such as Crested Bobwhite, Oriole blackbird, Spectacled parrotlet and Jabiru, then we walk a gallery forest in the Altamira herd where we can see species such as Striped woodcreeper, Sunbittern, White-winged becard.

Later we will visit a small lagoon where we saw more than 200 Wood stork, Black skimmer, Horned screamer and Roseate spoonbill.

In the afternoon we will take a canoe ride through the savannah channels of the Reserve. You will have dinner by the firelight, while sharing with the family of El Encanto de Guanapalo.

NIght Hato Altamira

In the morning we will explore the gallery forest of streams located at the Montana ranch where we recorded species such as the gray seedeater, the rufous-tailed jacamar and the orange-fronted yellow finch.In the afternoon we went out to explore the surroundings of the Hato Mata de Palma, we saw bird species such as Pied lapwing, Venezuelan troupial, Gray-cowled Wood-rail and 2 individuals of Great Horned Owl that sleep in the moriche palms near the lodge.

A new morning in the plains: a new opportunity for bird watching and searching for those animals that take advantage of the freshness of the early hours of the day. They will have breakfast at around 8:00 a.m. to make way for a new safari in the plains of Colombia, on a vehicle tour through other areas of the property in search of animals. They will have lunch around noon and then return to Yopal at 2:00 p.m.
